TikTok Gospel in Gen5?

The statement: "Man is appointed mortal sorrow, but the blessed God shall come down teaching; His death shall bring the despairing comfort and rest."

Topher's short answer, Nope, it's just wishful thinking from Genesis 5.  From a strict linguistic standard, this translation is an interpretive reading rather than a direct grammar-based translation.

Longer answer: Both "teaching" and "despairing" were chosen by popular commentators in the 1800's because they supply the exact missing grammatical links needed to complete the devotional sentence in Genesis 5. While these definitions exist in 19th-century devotional dictionaries, they reflect interpretive theology rather than strict biblical Hebrew philology. So I think this is something that early commentators in the 1800's created because it was a convenient devotional message. At that time we didn't have computers and enough Hebrew resources to know the meanings of some names, so some religious people filled in the blank with their own meanings. Today, we've found enough archeological evidence to better define the names, yet this old innacurate devotional message still persists because it does sound cool and fits with what we know about God, layering in messages over time.

From my translating the more accurate version using the agreement of older and modern Hebrew meanings would be:

"Man is appointed to be a weak craftsman; God is praised to descend dedicating the man of the spear a powerful rest."

For us that makes no sense. So, I don't think God was hiding a message in here. But, there are 300+ (scholarly estimate) direct prophecies in the OT about Jesus. That in itself is enough to believe God's amazing plan!
