• Theme: When sin broke God's perfect world, God promised to fix it.

• Daily Question: What went wrong with our world?

• The Big Idea: The world left the factory floor absolutely perfect, but human sin totaled it. Even in the wreckage, God promised He wasn't throwing us away.

Mitchell Covington serves as the senior minister of the Linary Church of Christ in Crossville, Tennessee. His passion is helping people know Christ more deeply through faithful Bible teaching, practical preaching, and genuine relationships. This is the second tenure at Linary.

Mitchell and his wife, Gala, have shared a lifetime of ministry together. They are blessed with three daughters, each of whom is married to a gospel preachers. Two of their daughters and sons-in-laws currently serve as missionaries in Thailand.  There oldest daughter and husband has faithfully served there for more than thirteen years. Together, Mitchell and Gala are proud grandparents of eight grandchildren. One granddaughter is serving in Africa, one is preparing for full-time mission work, and three are serving alongside their parents in Thailand, continuing the family’s commitment to sharing the gospel around the world.

Their heart for missions began many years ago. From 1992 to 1997, Mitchell, Gala, and their three daughters became the first full-time missionaries for Churches of Christ to Russia following the fall of the Soviet Union. Those years of pioneering evangelism, church planting, and teaching left a lasting impact on their family and continue to shape Mitchell’s passion for world evangelism and the spread of the gospel.

In addition to his work in ministry, Mitchell has spent many years serving his community as an Advanced EMT, EMS Chaplain, and member of the local Rescue Squad. He is actively involved in swift water rescue, dive rescue, high-angle rope rescue, and man-tracking operations, combining practical skills with a heart for serving others in times of crisis. Whether responding to emergencies, mentoring church leaders, encouraging young people, or preaching God’s Word, his goal remains the same—to glorify God, strengthen His church, and help others discover the hope that is found only in Jesus Christ.
